Purpose

Babies change life! They bring great joy and often a fair bit of tiredness. It’s good to thank God for the gift of a new life and we all need support in bringing up our children as Christians.

We will be delighted to help you prepare for your child’s baptism (also known as “Christening”). These days we also see more adults asking to be baptised as a big step in their own journey of faith. There is no financial cost for baptism.

When and Where

Baptisms normally take place in the church building by arrangement with one of the staff team.

What Happens

One of the clergy team will take time to get to know you and to help you prepare for this important occasion.

How do I get involved?

For baptisms contact Teresa Bailey in the church office on 01242 580022 or email Teresa here who will send you an application form and put you in touch with one of the Staff Team.  (Or dowload an application form here.)
